The Zion Lutheran Church was the last building added to the Hettinger County Historical Society Museum. Originally located in Burt, North Dakota, the structure was built in 1908 and served as the Albery School of District 6. It eventually became the Zion Lutheran Church. The Hettinger County Historical Society Museum bought the structure after the church was disbanded.
Not only is the church a wonderful structure, but it also houses many of its original furnishings including the pulpit and pews which seat a whopping forty-two people. As a result of the church’s unique furnishings and history, an actual wedding was held at the current location of the church in 1985.
